Before First Use:

1. Rinse Thoroughly: Wash the jug thoroughly with water to remove any dust or residue from manufacturing.

2. Soak in Water: Fill the jug with clean water and let it sit for 24 hours to season the terracotta and saturate the pores. This helps prevent the jug from absorbing too much water initially.

3. Rinse Again: After soaking, rinse the jug with clean water before filling it with drinking water.

Daily Use:

1. Keep Jug Filled: Terracotta jugs work best when kept filled with water, as the material absorbs and cools the liquid by evaporation.

2. Store in a Cool Place: Keep the jug in a shaded or cool area to maintain the natural cooling effect of the terracotta.

3. Use Fresh Water: Replace the water in the jug daily or every 2 days to ensure freshness and prevent any musty odor from forming.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Wash Regularly: Clean the jug every 3–4 days, or more frequently if you notice any odor or buildup. Use mild soap and water to gently clean the inside, then rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
